My movie marathon...

So I had no energy at all to go anywhere the past few days (my days off) so there's really nothing left to do but to be a bum. It was a very tiring 3 month run. I am tired and this was a pretty good days off for me. I got a chance to rest, to think and to do nothing.

I had a movie marathon! I basically watched (this whole week):
1. The Hurt Locker - good war movie. 8/10.
2. Adventureland - very dragging comedy. 6/10.
3. Angel of Death - stars Xena the Warrior Princes. 6/10.
4. Duplicity - great movie with an unexpected ending haha. 8/10.
5. Ghost Month - boring. 5/10.
6. Hush - boring also. 5/10.
7. Miss March - funny comedy. 8/10.
8. Second Coming - boring again. 5/10.
9. The Abducted - guy looks like Stone Cold. Still boring 5/10.
10. The Good Shepherd - old Matt Damon movie. 2 hours 40 minutes long. Good movie 7/10.
11. The Hessen Affair - stars Billy Zane. Boring! 6/10.
12. The Killing Room - great movie! Psycho thriller. 8/10.
13. The Mysteries of Pittsburgh - Sienna Miller naked! woot! 7/10.
14. The Soloist - Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors! 9/10.

Very boring week for me. Just lie down and watched all those movies. Sit down and think about stuff. Do I miss her? yeah, sometimes, I guess...but it's time to move on. I feel I need to open another chapter in my life...a new beginning of some sort. I need a clean slate...

I missed this blog...

A lot has happened during the past few months. What a roller coaster of events. Things that really welcomed me to reality and to what life really is. I am coping up, I am in peace and I am taking it day by day but there's still a lot of work to be done. I won't elaborate anymore. I know what to do with these life changing truth's and events that have unfolded in the last few months...

So enough of that. What's up with me lately? Finally bought a Digital SLR. A Canon 450D. I was thinking about buying a netbook instead of a DSLR. I am glad I bought the DSLR haha. Been addicted to shooting anything the past few months and all of my works are uploaded in my multiply (tigerleo.multiply.com). Hope ya'll visit it.

UAAP is around the corner. I hope the Green Archers win it all this year. Though Ateneo is still a tough match up. Roger Federer became the greatest ever in tennis. Congrats to him. NBA offseason has been very colorful. As early as now I am predicting a Boston vs. Orlando East Finals and a Lakers vs. Spurs West Finals.

Been addicted to facebook lately haha. I love the games. Friendster now sucks haha. Facebook rocks!!!

My lovelife? it's not going to well actually haha. I love this girl but she seems to be thinking about someone or something else all the time. Yeah! I know there I said it. I will not be the denial king anymore haha. I know a lot of people are disappointed but what can I do when my heart tells me that I love her? Maybe in time, if she stays that way I'll prolly move on.

So may things to talk about with so little time. I guess this is good enough for a first post after a while...

So by now all of you have heard about the Swine Flu outbreak? Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen that this is as real as it gets. It is the first time that we have seen this kind of virus...there is no cure (yet)...hundreds have died and it is now spreading...

Global warming/climate shift, rapid changes in our earth that we have not seen and now this outbreak? Yes, it is too early to tell...some will hope (and I do hope) that this will die down after a few weeks...but what if it continues? Isn't that a scary thought? Ground zero is Mexico...it started spreading up to the United States and to Canada. There are some reports of the Swine flu in parts of Europe from those people who came from Mexico. Parts of Mexico right now looks like a ghost town because no one wants to go out. I am sure you guys have watched I Am Legend and the likes of the movie that had the rage virus right? are we ready to face that scenario? are you ready? lets hope and pray that this is not the start...

I am always a Mavericks fan but I am also not dumb. I know they have a slim chance of winning it all this year mostly because of the Lakers and the Cavaliers. I picked the Lakers to win it this year since they are hungry, they are complete and they play good basketball. Celtics are done when KG went out. It will be a dream match this year. Kobe vs Lebron but...

Now I pick the Cavaliers to win it. I love this team. I love all the antics. If they don't win this year, at least they gave us a heck of a show from the pre-game rituals to Lebron's "More Than A Game" (here) and now to their spoof to the funny Heineken commercial. I was always laughing at this commercial when I watch the games on the internet. Yep on the internet. This commercial is not aired in the Philippines. View the Heineken commercial below:

Summer is gone my friends. Rain has come early this year. No I am not talking about the Korean dude haha. What has happened to this world? Remember the East coast vs West coast thing? Well after watching Notorious I have a little theory of mine that I would like to share. Well first, I don't know if the killers of BIG and Tupac were ever found and if they/he/she was found, I don't think the shooter/s are behind it. So here is my theory of the killer:

There was only one mastermind. His name is Sean "Puffy" Combs a.k.a. Puff Daddy. I have no right to accuse him (I know!) but this is just my theory. Why Puff Daddy?
1. He owns Bad Boy.
2. After BIG's death who generated a lot of money? I believe that in every killing, there is always a motive.
3. He knew that BIG and Tupac were friends so he used that.
4. He has vision to pull this conspiracy off.
5. He has money and sources to pull this conspiracy off.
6. He produced a movie called Notorious (LOL!).

Let me explain further...if I was Puff Daddy...this is what I would think because he always wanted to rule the world. He used a guy from the slums. He made it BIG. He had a friend. What more publicity than to turn a friend on a friend? He sets up the shootings, East vs West escalates. Both men dies. He makes a record with Sting. He is now one of the top business man on the scene. I say genius!!! haha but I hope that ain't true :)

Did nothing at work. LOL!

Went to Shawarma Snack Center in Malate last Friday. Pretty good place but the price to value ratio is not really that good. A Special shawarma costs Php 90. Was not really special. It was just the same as the rest in the malls, etc. One funny thing about that place is that they were allowing the Middle Eastern's to smoke inside the air conditioned place. Normal right? but what's funny is that the waitresses and the waiters looked high! They did not take our orders clearly, when we ask something they do not answer properly haha. High!? maybe! haha...

I finished 2nd in our fantasy league season 3. From 4th place last year up to 2nd place this year. I hope I win next year! haha. It was a fun season for the guys. Full of trashtalk, insider trading and lazy people. Next year those lazy peeps are not gonna be in. I am tired of them. I finished second. M-V-3 D-Wade did not play the last two games bummer!!! haha ohwell...that is part of the game so I have no say on that. The better team won. Congrats Myles!

Predictions for the first round?
Cavaliers will sweep the soul searching Pistons.
Boston will win it in 6 games over the tough Bulls.
Orlando will struggle to win it in 6 games over the upcoming Sixers.
Miami will upset the Hawks in 7 games just because of M-V-3.
Lakers will win it in 5 over the Jazz.
Denver will finally move on the second round upsetting CP3 and the injury plagued Hornets in 6.
Mavericks will still have the number on the Spurs in 6 games unless Ginobili plays.
Portland will win over the boring Rockets in 7 games.

Yep! That's a first timer in Splash Island (with the birthday boy) haha. Sunday April 5 was Splash Island Day. It was fun! I want to go back! haha

Holy Tuesday until Black Saturday was Bolinao, Pangasinan vacation. Woot!!! Finally after a year of no vacation. Last year we were not able to go on a trip because of my work schedule (crappy schedule) haha. So this year, I made sure I am going to the beach!!!

It was a very under developed place. There were only 3 exclusive resorts (all fully booked) and a number of middle class resorts and some spots were just empty. Just filled with trees and whatever along this (approx.) 20+ KM stretch of beach. Well the Villa Carolina Resort was okay. Just right for the price. The Bolinao stretch of beach is not too good haha. Why? it is not swimmable. You go there to walk! literally walk but you have to have shoes or sandals just to walk. The beach is so rocky and full of shells. It is under developed so what can you expect? After the breakwater comes the fun part. I was able to go within a few meters of the breakwater when I decided to stop walking. I can feel the waves and also I can see the steep drop in land on the breakwater haha. I am not brave enough to go further because of the rough waves ahead of me. I got cut and my ankles were sore after the long walk back to the shore.

The last two nights I spent sleeping along the beach. I was alone on the tent! woot! and boy did I have a great time. I was able to see the moon set and a beautiful dawn. Now that is priceless. Going back, instead of taking the usual route, we went the long route and went to Zambales then Subic for lunch. Took us almost 9 hours to get home haha. Wrong decision but it was fun. Some more pictures are in my Multiply. Feel free to see the shots I took on my digicam (Yes, digicam. and until it breaks down, I won't buy an SLR haha)

Next up is La Luz!!! and I can't wait!!!

My not so summer days...

Does anyone here not believe that we have a climate problem? I mean rain on summer days? that's freakin weird! Yeah well it might just be an isolated problem here in our country but there are also some reports of strange weather patterns all over the world right? I guess thats the upcoming war that we are gonna be a part of some day soon. The war vs Global Climate anomalies. It is really scary, come to think of it, but no one really knows the exact date that it's gonna get really worse and where it will hit and how will it happen. That's why it is scary. I wish someone would get a note like that of Nicholas Cage's "numbered paper" in Know1ng hahaha.

Speaking of movies...what a comeback by Fast and Furious!!! I liked the story and everything about the movies except for one thing. Too much CG!!! but overall, I liked it! That's how you make those kind of films. 2 Fast 2 Furious blows so much and Fast and the Furious 3's lead actor sucks! hahaha. Just a little note, Vin Diesel is a producer on this film. I hope he makes another one :D

Hmm...can't think of any jokes...gotta take my mind off of Sacred 2 (did that sound right? haha)...gotta think of a joke for the office haha...hmmm...

I wonder how April fool's day started. I'm too lazy to google it (Yes, google is now a verb so don't correct me). Well I'm sure the internet will be filled with April fool's joke from everywhere. I am excited to read em all haha.

Semifinals of my fantasy league and I am where I was last year. Semifinals against "Q". I lost last year and Q eventually went on to win the championship. I hope this year would be different. It's a good start by D-Wade. I hope LBJ will have a bad week haha.

Well have a great week ya'll! Hope you have a funny April fools. Me? I'm just gonna level up my Shadow Warrior all week and prepare for the Splash Island adventure on Sunday then the Holy week vacation next week! Woot!!! Bolinao here we come! haha

Oh my what a week! Don't get me wrong "batman's" (Bat-ang Man-yak as described by Boys Night Out)...these are not the video's you are expecting haha! Two video's from the week that shows us that the world is really weird.

First video is the CCTV video of this freakin' Boyet Fajardo. A designer that snapped in Duty Free. Haha this guy (gay) is really something. Even using the line "don't you know who I am!?" (Sorry dude, we don't freakin' know you!). Well what happened was he was shopping in Duty Free and was asked for some identification because his credit card had no signature at the back and then he snapped. Haha! in the first place, sign your freakin' credit card! Duh! and you were just freakin' asked for an I.D. no need to snap and make a scene! LMAO! and then he comes on the next day crying on T.V. and asking for forgiveness? the hell!!! you stepped on the dignity of 2 persons and you expect a public apology will suffice? dream on!!!

Second video is the suicide attempt on the LRT Tayuman station. I saw the video! it was freaky and it was funny because she did not die (Good thing) and she just had a bruise on her face and her elbow. WOW! Well...the girl had some financial problems and family problems. She got laid off her work and she had three kids. Imagine what you will be leaving with your kids with? right? and with all the financial problems she is having, she was even supposed to pay Php 15,000 by the LRT because he caused some delays in the line but they revoked it because they understoon the situation of the girl.

It has been a very very slooooooooooow week. A very hot week. A very sick week. So what's been happening these days?

First is that I am first again on my fantasy league after the eliminations. Go D-Wade!!! You are the MVP!!! Hopefully I will finish better this season. Last season I finished in 4th place. Second is that EARTH HOUR is this Saturday? correct? let's try and support that campaign...really...please...hahaha! Third is the Tom Clancy's HAWX game that I am expecting for a month turned out to be a sucky game hahaha. Very arcade. I thought it was a simulation game. Ohwell...back to Sacred 2 for me haha. Lastly, hmmm....SUMMER!!! summer is really here and I wan't to go to the beach...oh wait...I am going to the beach! WOOOT!!! :D

My poorman's ensaymada...

I accidentally discovered this recipe while my brother was making his sandwich. Didn't really know what I wanted to eat. Seeing what my brother is doing, I decided to make my own also. Actually this recipe is hiding under our noses all the while. All you need is as follows:

1. Gardenia bread.
2. Butter (I prefer Lurpak salted or Anchor).
3. Sugar (white or brown).
4. Quickmelt cheese.

These are pretty common stuff right? now you get the picture?

What I did was, I used 1 pack of butter for each Gardenia slice. Yes!!! too much butter yumyum!!! haha but that's the point in making it creamy. So put some butter on the bread, sprinkle some sugar and then put some grated or sliced cheese on top. Ready your oven! time to toast! I enjoyed eating it by rolling it. It is much more pleasing and enjoyable haha.

Who cares about buying ensaymada's outside where you can make your own? haha. Try it one of these days :)

Today was the second Friday the 13th of this year...did something bad happen to you? They say that Friday the 13th is said to be an unlucky day. Why? I really don't know. I just always remember the Knights Templar story that we all know got rich and they were ordered to be arrested/executed during Friday the 13th of some month and year haha...so why is it unlucky anyway? it's up to you to believe...

Today was supposed to be fasting day for us Christians right? Blah...I ended up eating and eating and eating lots of meat. LOL! but the day spent with Shen and her family in Cavite was awesome. I had lots of fun. We watched "Let the Right One In". This movie is way better than that Twilight crap of a movie (take note. movie only not the book). It is rated 8.2/10 in IMDB and I have heard that there will be an English version of this. If you thought Twilight was a love story...just watch Let the Right One In...haha

I saw Superman yesterday in Gateway. He was old. He had a wife. She was not Lois. They ate at the foodcourt. They spoke Tagalog...LOL!

This guy was wearing a black shirt with a Superman logo. He was also wearing a black belt with a Superman logo as a buckle. He was wearing a necklace--yes! with a Superman logo!!! LOL!!! He also had some rings. No, not Mandarin's rings haha...I tried to peek and look if it was Superman logo rings but I wasn't able to see haha...Damn!!! this guy is weird!!! haha

Watchmen!!! 2 and a half hours of Watchmen! God I hate the MTRCB!!! crappy cuts!!! Thank goodness for the internet. I'm just gonna wait for the blu ray release. Screw you MTRCB!!! You guys should watch it! although a lot of it really was the exact of the comics, some are also missing. They did not show how Rorschach got his mask (and oh, what they did to his mask was really awesome!!! I love it! *edit--I looked at the comics again and indeed, Rorschach's face changes haha), Night Owl and Rorschach's transport when Archie crashed in Antartica, hmm what else? As far as I can remember there were aliens at the end right? instead of what appeared to be "Dr. Manhattan e-bombs" and the ending was a bit different? agree? ohwell...it was a good movie! I enjoyed it!

I mean this guy is really something. Right from Day 1 I immediately told to myself, this guy is really bad ass!!! I believe his motive in life is "the end really justifies the mean" hahaha. My dinner...

I haven't cooked in a while. No time. Not in the mood. No inspiration. No, nothing. When I asked Nanang what our dinner was, I intervened. I saw that she was gonna cook the usual breaded pork chops--so I said "halt! I will cook dinner" haha. So when we got home from mass, I immediately went to work.

Of course being the frustrated chef that I am, I would not just cook one dish. So I decided to make some of my famous Potato-Pesto-Cheese overload. Of course I won't share to you the recipe haha...but basically its just fried potatoes with different kinds of cheese and some herbs and spices and some pesto. Yum-yum! always a good side dish. So I went on and just cooked the pork chops ala sizzling pork chops in the food courts that we see. That's it! it was nice and it was a good dinner :) hmm...what to call the dish? "Tiger-Chops with PPC" hahaha I wish I had a picture to share...but unfortunately, the food is in our stomachs already haha. Another recipe added to my collection :)

..and it only costs not more than Php 25.00!!! haha. Yeah sorry if this was a late discovery but these La-La fish crackers are very yummy!!! How to enjoy them? buy one of course. Sweet Chili or plain, it doesn't matter. Next is that you get a cup of vinegar (your choice) then put in some chopped garlic and some chili and WOW!!! yummmeh!!! :)

I watched "He's just not that into you" last night with Shen and her friends. It was a very funny movie. True to some extent on some dating aspects and how men really think (and of course how naive women are haha) but yes, it was a good movie. Star studded movie. Scarlett is as we all know is hot...but Jennifer Connelly, super hot!!! hahaha

It is ash wednesday today. Did you hear mass? I did! I went to greenbelt and it was jampacked. Most of the people there were just there to be ashed. I can see it in their faces that they were not really into the mass. Just there to be ashed so that people will see that they are good christians. What a waste...lol! It is also the official day that we celebrate the people power. If you ask me, I think President GMA ashed this day. She freakin' moved the holiday to last Monday. Lol! Now people do not see the significance of this day to our history. What a waste...lol!

Yes, I was jaywalking along Sen. Gil Puyat avenue earlier this morning and luckily I was not sideswiped by any armored car or bus or any other car but a very fast car was approaching me so I stopped in the middle of the road so that the car can pass. That ain't the story folks! So I saw this car approaching and what caught my attention was that the driver was a guy--normal and his passenger was also a guy--also normal but then this passenger guy was leaning over to the driver FTW!!! how sweet!!! hahaha. That really started my day...hahaha

We all are fascinated about the story of Robin Hood. We all love Robin Hood. We all try to be Robin Hood. But does the end really justify the means?

I am loving this new series that I heard of...it is called "Leverage". It does look like a ripoff of Hustle (the British series) but in here the characters are better, the comedy parts are funnier and of course, Parker is smokin' hot!!! (she is 30 I think but she looks fantastically in the mid 20's haha). Try to watch it. You won't regret it :)

I started my day quite different today. I woke up at 2am instead of the usual 3-4am because I slept early last night--did the usual things then went to work. Had to stop by the bathroom before I logged in. Then the usual--open Outlook, open MSN messenger and then came the news...

Nove, the one that handles us, the NOC, sent me a message that our beloved NOC Manager, Tina was laid off. Holy crap!!! It hit me really hard. Tina was our "net". She was the one swallowing all the blame and hardships when we were screwing up. I tried to reason with Nove but he already tried. Others were also laid off. They say the show is a little too boring nowadays...well I'd have to agree at some point. The new season tends to be a little too predictable where they can't find the correct diagnosis and then at the end House has his epiphany and then problem over. I hope they change it up a bit. On the article it also says that there is too much thirteen. I love thirteen! haha but not just with Foreman. LOL! 13 is hot! haha

Congratulations to Batch 2009 of De La Salle University Manila!

Congrats to my sister!

It was a weird feeling for me to be back in that same building--this time on the other side as a spectator and not as a graduate and man it was sooo boooring haha. I only watched the graduation of course for my sister and yeah, for Ms. Raelene Villania haha. When I heard she will be singing the national anthem and the alma mater, I knew I had to watch the show. It was a good day for all the graduates.

Some key points in that graduation:
- I think the last girl that was called died? her mom and her brother carrying her picture went up the stage and got her diploma.
- There was a guy who got a special mention as the 1st DLSU student who got a title of Grandmaster in Chess and 10th Grandmaster in the Philippines. Wow! what a title.
- Brother Bernie OCA received a degree also and was a part of the graduating class.

So again, congrats to the graduating class of 2009. Welcome to the real world haha...

Ronnie Turiaf--figured I just wanna win the blocks department haha and Anthony Johnson the veteran whom I will just place the spot to an add/drop spot for the week. Plus of course AK-47 is still out. It was the first Wednesday of the month and that usually means that its grocery time for us. Double the points in shopwise, everyone is available--good time to go at the grocery. It was my sister's graduation practice so unfortunately, she is not available and she had to leave a list to us. I had our maid's list and my dad had my sister's. Well, he wasn't able to read my sisters list so we swapped. I browsed through and of course, being a lady, she has her needs. No worries for my I don't care haha. So we came to the aisle of napkins, pantyliners, etc (basically the girly stuff) haha...and what happened is that when I was looking for the brand and type of those stuff...the girls around me were staring at me! ahaha...was so embarrassing...LMAO!

What a weekend for sports! Superbowl, UFC and the Australian Open.

I was not able to watch one more epic match between Nadal and Federer but from the scoreboard and knowing the two guys, I knew it was a classic. The new generation Sampras and Agassi is not disappointing their fans. King of Clay won and #14 would have to wait another time haha. Don't worry Roger, it will come.

UFC 94 was awesome. Machida is still Machida and is still untouchable in the ring and then GSP vs Penn 2...it was just a classic beatdown. GSP owned Penn haha.

Superbowl XLIII. What a game!!! when you think it would be a cinderella superbowl XLII again, when the Giants won last year, Santonio Holmes made sure it wouldn't. What a catch and what a play. Steelers are now the most winningest team in Superbowl history. Congrats to them! What a game!!! haha

And then 14 days from now...All Star weekend! Woot!!!

I finally found Mister Kebab!

For those of you who don't know. Turn right to West Ave. from Quezon Ave. It's there you won't miss it as it says a big sign "Mister Kebab". Food is great! any variation of our beloved shawarma, you will find it there for affordable prices. You can eat a lot and not get burned! haha...I want to go back there!!! What's best in the house? the orange rice, of course the shawarma and the yogurt shake that makes the oohhh so hot hot sauce taste away. Next time, I am trying all of that. Too bad when I wen't there my tummy aint very supportive haha...

Australia = Good movie. Long Movie. Story is so-so haha. Nicole Kidman is still hot :)

You ever seen those urinals (well of course this is just for men) that have flush-less systems. Well for the ladies out there, FYI -- these urinals are just ordinary looking urinals that do not have a flush basically haha. Google em pictures I am sure you will find one. So back to my experience...so I went to a public bathroom in Greenhills and they have this system. So no flush but when I went over to the sink to wash my hands...pushed the button to activate it then guess what...it took forever to stop. LMAO! How can you conserve water with that? Its better that we flush the urinals so that it doesn't smell. LOL! How ironic eh?

I saw a fight today here at the office. There was blood. Good thing there was a first aid kit and some agents that studied nursing. I beg you, reader, not to laugh at this fight...

So the fight was between the glass door and one of the agents haha. Yep! you read it right. The security guard left his post for a break and so he closed the door and we needed our proximity cards to enter. So this one agent who was in a hurry and has a lot of stuff to carry, after swiping his proximity card used his head to push the door....Bang! everyone became silent. He had an open wound that thankfully did not need any stitches haha...

Yes Man! <<< What a great movie! Jim Carrey will always be Jim Carrey. The story of the movie, very interesting. I hope those people who watch this movie will see life clearer. I recommend this movie.

First time I ate at Peri Peri Chicken in Greenhills. My verdict?
Food = 10. Yumyum

I recommend this restaurant. Eat the hot chicken haha. Plus I find their utensils a bit odd. Why? dine in to see :)

So my review...
Food = 7/10. Don't believe whats in the picture haha.
Quality = 9/10. Damn when they spicy, it is really spicy.

Price = 6/10. A bit too much on the price when they only serve little quantities.
Overall 7/10. Would I come back? Probably if I'm not gonna pay haha...

This company was owned by two guys. The other one screwed the other guy and he solely owned the company. After a few years, this screwed over guy put up his own company. A few months later, the employees of this guy started to transfer to the guy who was screwed because he has a better offer and they can't take the guy's screwing over the years. So some years passed and slowly but surely one by one the employees started to transfer to the other side. The last few guys went to the other side today to complete the transition.

No! It's not I who is having a concert at home...hahaha! I don't sing! haha which reminds me...Charice Pempengco was a guest earlier today at "Good Time with Mo" and boy can she sing! She beat Mojo's ass! haha. Well I did not watch her concert by any means. What did I watch?

I got a copy of Linkin Park's concert live in Milton Kevnes (wherever that is) and boy was it packed!? now I wonder why U2's concert was cancelled. The Fort can never house that much people. I was amazed at this concert because Chester was all out and I wonder if he ever does back to back nights (I wonder what his voice would sound on the second night). They sang all their great songs including the one from Twilight and Transformers and the one I got chills is when Jay-Z came out of the back stage and sang the song from Miami Vice. Boy did they mix and collaborate it very well! That was awesome! A very very good concert! haha. I wish I was there...

Did you ever hear about the movie "Blindness" starring Mark Ruffalo and Julianne Moore? This is a movie I would recommend watching. Well a touch of the story goes--everyone becomes blind, etc etc haha. But I won't spoil anything away. Just watch the movie. It tackles issues with morality, how people adapt when faced with blindness, etc etc.

First time I went to Cavite with Shen using my Innova haha! It was a long trip of course--like going to Tagaytay haha but seriously, it was just a normal trip. My car registered 43 kilometers from my house to Shen's house (would that count as a long distance relationship? haha). It was her smaller brother's birthday today. Happy Birthday again Nino. Sorry we did not bring any cake but the chicken (lots of it) and barbeque was good :) yumyum.

The reason for the car is because Shen bought a personal computer last week! Woot! She got lots of $ hahaha! Two weeks ago she asked me to assemble her a rig that will fit her tight budget of Php 35,000 (tight!? haha) for a whole system. A week before her big shopping day, that budget became Php 30,000 then went to Php 35,000--Php 30,000 then finally Php 35,000. But my final computation went over Php 35,000 so I told her I will take care of everything over Php 35,000 (I wish I didn't say that! haha joke!). So after a day of assembly and a day of installation and a week of testing it here in my place, Shen's un-named rig finally came home to her bedroom and she was a beauty...

What are the normal instances in life that you sometimes wish God would take your life?

Y'know when you have LBM, you are sitting in the toilet and just wishing "Lord, just please take my life..." because of the sheer pain you are experiencing. Everyone hates the visit to the dentist right? when the dentist is up in your teeth grinding and whatever he/she is doing and it hits your nerves there wouldn't you wish God would just take your life? Combine them both = My pain day...hahaha

Yep! January 8, 2009 is officially the most painful day of my life. In the morning I had some LBM that continued on during the day until the night. Man it was really tough. Then in the afternoon after my work, I went on to visit my dentist. What a normal cleaning session turned out to be a root canal session and oh my Lord was it painful. Took me three injections for anesthesia and an hour of pain. What was funny when I was telling the story to everyone was that my right hand was in pain because while the dentist was performing the root canal, I was crutching and pulling my right hand with my left hand because of the sheer pain I was in hahaha. That was not all...to put the cherry on the top, I had a fever overnight. LMAO!

I really wish I could turn back time and just brush my teeth everyday everytime after I eat since I was a kid so that I wouldn't have to deal with this pain today. Physically and monetarily haha. Cost be bout Php 6,000 for that root canal crap!

Did you ever get tired of eating that old generic pansit canton? Ever get tired of draining that water from that Yakisoba cup noodles? Ever get tired of eating that same old pansit canton taste? well there is a solution to that...one now that I really really love. Is it good? yes! is it affordable? yes! where is it? everywhere!!! Hong Kong style noodles!!! haha and some other variations. But the concept is the same. Stir fried noodles with or without dimsum and create/put the sauce of your choice. Man I love this concept! The freedom to put all the chili you want! hahaha. So have you tried it? I know you have seen it. What is your mix? :P

Whenever you watch the Discovery Channel, you can never be wrong. They have a new show called "time warp" and maaaan!!! this show is freakin' awesome! I love this show!!! They slow things down from 5000 frames/sec to a whopping 10000 frames per second!!! Some of the things they slowed things down are a professional drummer hitting his drumset, a samurai basically cutting everything they try, etc. It is awesome to see those stuff in really really really slow motion with very high detail. I am now a fan of this show!!!

In some sad news, the reason why U2 was not able to go here is because the venue. They require 10000 capacity. The Fort open field houses 70k and Araneta only a little over 20k. C'mon Mr. Ayala, please build a 100k - 150k colesium so we can watch concerts and especially UAAP over your colesium! hahaha. I am sure all the Parawhore's will love it if all can come when Paramore comes here. Yes! they are coming here in 2k9!!! at least if the rumor's are true. MTV Philippines wasn't able to book them for 2008 because they did not expect that they would be big in 2008. They were wrong! haha...now Paramore is in demand and I hope they do their jobs by bringing them here so I can let them sign my new Paramore CD's and DVD hahaha!

Over the past few weeks, this "upgrade" to TigerHome has been like a roller coaster of some sort haha. From Radeon HD 4870 to Geforce GTX 260 core 216 and back to Radeon HD 4870, damn! 3 cards in 2 weeks! haha. From Abit IX38 Quad GT to Asus P5Q to MSI P45 Neo2 fr and back to Abit IX38 Quad GT. I shouldn't have left my ever reliable Quad GT!!! haha. From HEC Zephyr 750W to Corsair HX620 and now to Corsair HX1000 haha. I know these are all techy stuff but basically thats a a video card, a motherboard and a power supply. So what is the final specs:

What I envy the most about his trip was that he was able to watch a game in Staples center and watch the Lakers! in Oakland and watched the Warriors vs the Heat and in Dallas to watch the Mavericks!!! He got to watch all three NBA players that I idolize. Dirk, Dwyane and Kobe!!! oh my!!! haha...I hope I still have time to watch them live haha and Dad, thanks for the shirts and the shoes :)

Christmas is fast approaching and I got my gift from my boss. A Panasonic Lumix FS3 digital camera which is cool and a big improvement from last year. Last year what I took home from our Christmas party was only a bottle of Jose Cuervo haha. Also I have been hearing I will have a bonus from Advance Global Communications in Dallas (the company we provide support for)...WOOT!!! haha...

Did Robert Pattinson ruin the character of Edward Cullen?

Please ladies, answer this question. I have not read the book but based on the feedbacks and the reviews that I have read, the movie sucked. So with that the questions lies, was he not suitable to be the fantasy that Edward Cullen should be?

I find it weird that they are so white in the movie. Even Bella is so white. Ruins her shots. But I did like the scene after the kissing scene. Guys do you know why? haha! those "batman" and "superman" (Boys Night Out acronyms) out there would know what I mean :P. The move is good but not great. Hope to see better acting, effects and shots on the next movie. Plus, do you guys remember Mike from "Can't Hardly Wait?" the boyfriend-high school football star quarterback of Jennifer Love? Yeah! he is Dr. Cullen. I always laugh when I see him in the movie because his character in Can't Hardly Wait just always comes out of my thoughts haha

I love conspiracy theories and today I heard one. While I am listening to goodtimes with Mo, Mo was thanking MTV for a good concert last night (Chris Brown + Rihanna) and from what I heard, it is indeed a good concert and then Mo mentions that MTV is trying to setup this next concert which is going to be huge. He was advised not to mention the name of the artist/band because he will be crucified by MTV if he said it and then Grace Lee was trying to think of a big concert and she mentions "is this the band..." then Mo cuts her off by saying "let's stop this discussion...". The conversation was something along those lines and then they take a break and start playing Decode by Paramore.

Hahaha!!! This will be the concert I will be lining up to no matter what! haha

Trinoma sale last Saturday but we did not buy anything haha. Ate at Cibo and all I can say is that I really really hate this restaurant. I know a lot of you like it but uughhh...I hate em. The gaming month/s is officially here! Remember same time a year ago all those games came out? Bioshock, STALKER, NFS Prostreet (crappy game), Crysis, Hellgate: London, etc. What a frezy right? I bought my 8800GTS just to play games haha. Sad thing is, I haven't had the chance to finish Bioshock, STALKER and NFS boohoo!!! Now the number of games have doubled up! First it was Crysis Warhead (done!) then STALKER Clear Sky (installed. played first part.) -> Mass Effect (just watched the prologue) -> Spore (funny little game) -> Dead Space (installed. havent started yet.) Krispy Kreme. The Donut that costs like a cheeseburger! hahaha. They will be opening up a new branch in Gateway mall this coming November 14, 2008. So what's the fuzz?

Get this: 1st paying customer of that branch will get a 1 year supply of Krispy Kreme donuts! LMAO!!! They will be giving a year supply of the honey glazed donuts for that customer. Imagine everyday Krispy Kreme even that simple honey glazed donut. LOL! 2nd and 3rd customer, I think, will get 3 months of supply and a bunch more prizes to be given away. What would I do with that much donuts? LOL! but it is one hell of a bargain if you ask me. I live near Gateway mall...hmmm....maybe it is time for me to camp outside Gateway? hahaha

Sleepy Saturday and Chili Sunday...

What a sleepy Saturday...after work, after eating chili rice from Wendy's Shen and I went straight to zzzzzz hahaha...

Woke up Saturday almost midnight going on a Sunday then we ate at Ziggurat. The only Ziggurat in Manila located near Makati Avenue. They serve Indian, Mediterranean and Greek (can you tell the difference?). It was a good resto but the service sucked (maybe the waitress was just sleepy I don't know) but the food is awesome. A little pricy but it is worth it. I had the Indian curry rice which is fabulous and we shared the chicken and beef kebabs and the beef kaftah. Everything was good!!!

All the food talk makes me hungry haha...
Lots of new games are coming out this week and next week. Call of Duty World at War, Mirror's edge and the new Need For Speed next week. Woot!!! hope my rig can still handle them all.

My long weekend and a longer month and a half...

Shen and I usually spend weekends together but last weekend we didn't :( yes, it is because of the all souls and saints weekend. She went to visit her mom and I went with my relatives for our yearly get together in Loyola. I actually had the time to watch some NBA over the weekend and I hear BTV is back in Sky cable? for a monthly fee of Php 100 haha. C'mon! it is free in Destiny. Sky Cable sucks! They charge for those tv boxes and they charge for good channels!? boohoo!!!

Speaking of the NBA, I won my first week of fantasy NBA with 1 rebound! haha 5-4. GG Eisen!

I also had the chance to play Fallout 3 over the weekend and those quests are taking me the whole day to finish haha. It is a good game that really focuses in the character and the storyline but I really prefer shooting em all up. It is still nice to play though :) also had the chance to see those Red Alert 3 babes. Wohoo!!! they are smokin' hooot!!! haha Good game also. Graphics-wise, I don't really get why it is so cartoony. Technology and units? so far the one's I had control are of the Soviets and their units suck! haha but I am intrigued by that big ass Japanese robot!

My longer month and a half just started. My dad is on his way to the U.S. on a much deserved vacation. He is going to Dallas - Los Angeles - San Francisco - New York - San Francisco - Canada and then Los Angeles again before he goes home a month and a half later. Wohoo!!! what a trip eh? He deserves everyday of it with all his hard work. Ohwell I am gonna miss him and I just hope he comes back with the wishlist haha

It is that time of the year for us gamers to be always smiling and smiling and not minding everyone and just playing and playing and wasting hours and hours hahaha...

A lot of new games are out! It started with Crysis Warhead (done!) and STALKER Clear Sky (not finished) and then it went on to Far Cry 2, Dead Space, Bully and now the most anticipated game of the year I think (I don't think Starcraft 2 is coming out this year) is out...FALLOUT 3!!! really really good game. I was lucky enough to have a copy (don't ask how hahaha) and see through it and I must say, it is a good game. I thought I heard Liam Neeson's voice as my father's voice in that game? haha. With all of these games coming out, there are still more to come this year...the new Need for Speed Undercover, Left for Dead (they say a lot like Half Life 2) and Call of Duty World at War. WOOT!!! good thing my 1 year old Geforce 8800gts 320mb is still packing some heat as it still can run these games hahaha.

Oh I forgot that Red Alert 3 is out! Hot chicks in this game! hahaha. I also saw the backpack that is on promo for this game, the laptop bag is really good looking and padded but it really costs too much for me. Orig game+laptop bag = Php 4000 hahaha...if it was Fallout 3 I might have bought it. Maybe gamers are so swamped with Fallout 3 that they forgot that Red Alert 3 is out...I have not seen any jack sparrow version's of this game yet! Weird!!!

C'mon!!! hahaha

Over the weekend Shen and I ate at Heaven and Eggs and it was really a laughtrip all the way until the scrabble game 2 haha. I got to mention that the food in Heaven and Eggs is just awesome and will surely bloat your stomach haha. There was these two couple who sat in front of the entrance door facing the entrance door with a long table haha...and then I told Shen "look, they look like receptionists!" LMAO!!! hahaha and then the scrabble game 2 some funny words like "OCON" which would be the cousin of Akon haha and "NAYO" which would be the twin brother of Neyo! hahaha...what a laughtrip!

Finally I ate at Burger Avenue! Burger Avenue is located in A.Venue Mall in Makati Avenue for those interested. I don't know about any other branches sorry. It is the usual big burger taste of Wham, Brothers, etc but what I wanted--the chiliburger is not available boohoo!!! So I will be going back and I will try that chiliburger!!! So what did I order? the usual cheeseburger. It was okay it was alright. Nothing to be excited about. They are a bit pricy than Brothers and Wham but the taste is good. Ohwell, sometimes you gotta try out food right? Shen had the cream cheese burger that did not really look right haha. Ohwell...

Yes sports fans! it is that time of the year again! NBA season is coming! who do you pick to win it all this year? Me? I think the Laker's will win it (if they stay healthy and not break down again). They would have to be up against Boston again as they will not give up their championship that easily. Possible sleeper is the New Orleans Hornets. They are a very very good team.

What excites me about the new NBA season is not only the season itselft, but the Fantasy games!!! woot! two years ago if I remember correctly I was a runner up? last year I was the #1 seed coming into the playoffs where I lost in the 2nd round to the #4 seed. This year, I hope I can win it all!!! haha

My main man for this years team is Dwyane Wade!!! one of my idols! I hope he stays healthy and he is in top shape and condition to be the Wade of old when he won the championship. I have a pretty good lineup this year. I hope my team does well.

Oh my...I love this night...I love this event...

Round one goes to the Mediterranean Cafe. I love this restaurant! of course they are next to Cyma in terms of Greek/Mediterranean food but when you are paying for the bill, you can always visit Med. Cafe instead of the pricy Cyma. There is no mistake in their garlic and hot sauce! I love it!!!

Round two goes to Krispy Kreme. I am now a fan of this phenomenon (sad to admit but yes). Ever since they came here I wasn't a real fan because they are a bit pricy. Yes! their donut costs almost as McDonald's cheeseburger. So why buy a donut when you can buy a cheeseburger right? When you can buy 3-4 Dunkin Donut's instead of 1 Krispy Kreme? Well at times you really got to pay because they are made from quality ingredients and you really get what you pay for. I love those Hershey's dark and cookies and kreme but my favorite would be that chocolate with candy sprinkles. Ohhh the sugar rush!!! Krispy Kreme, when will you have a strawberry donut? I don't like the strawberry filled donut you have. please make one! puhleaassse :P

Round three goes to Shakey's! A late night craving for salty breaded chicken and Mojo's. Can't say enough about Shakey's. They are always consistent with their taste. Then I had a thought, if ever I would go abroad for a long time, Shakey's would be one of the pizza's I will miss.

Weekend is almost over again...why is it so fast? I question God why he made the weekend only 2 days. God should have created the world in 8 days. At least all of us would like the additional 1 day of rest right? hahaha

Well actually not mine...mine for the week, mine for the day, mine whenever haha. It's my cousin's PSP. I know some of you guys know me that I don't like PSP right? well boredom in the office has reached a new level and I have got to find ways to be amused haha...So I borrowed my cousin's PSP, bought my own 4G memory and filled it with games. Now I can be amused at the office. I have a rule for the PSP, just don't use it when you are with someone--it's really rude.

Domino's pizza was yummy earlier. Too bad Shen didn't enjoy it haha. I got to buy blank DVD's, my pc is filled with unburned media. I wan't another 500G or a terabyte of hard disk space haha.

Body of Lies was a good movie. It was a long movie but it wasn't so dragging that it makes you sleepy (right Shen? hahaha). Shen was half asleep LOL! Nice terror movie with a twist in the end unlike what I have seen before. Good job Leo and Russel. God damn, Russel Crowe looks obese!!! Whatever happened to Maximus? now he is all fat haha. Which reminds me, I gotta get Gladiator on blu ray. One of my favorite movies haha

After the movie Shen and I were walking along the parking lot when we saw Ali Peek (basketball player in case you don't know) and the funny thing is, when he crossed the road, the car which was going to hit him actually stopped suddenly hahaha...maybe the driver got afraid that his car might bend if he hits all that muscle in Ali Peek hahaha

Last week it was a slow week especially because there was no Good Times with Mo. I got stuck with Chico and Del. Finally they are back this week!

So we ate at Chili's and ordered the classic fajita combo and I ordered the chicken taco meal with 3 soft tacos, rice and mashed potato. Oh my! when the order came, the people from the other table looked at us and I got a feeling that they were surprised at how we were supposed to eat all that fajitas hahaha! The classic fajita combo was a combination of chicken and beef with 3 pita breads and all the toppings. So all in all 6 fajitas, rice and mashed potato just for the two of us haha. We were not able to finish all so we took home the 2 fajitas that was left. I'm still full haha. Thanks Shen for the Chili's :)

Ben Stiller is slowly getting himself in the league of Adam Sandler as the king of comedy. He actually directed Tropic Thunder. Good job!

The movie is actually star studded if you have a keen eye. An oh, I thought I was watching movie trailers at first. Damn! it got me! hahaha.

I hear Body of Lies is good and Eagle Eye is the updated version of Will Smith's enemy of the state? Will just wait for the Jack Sparrow version if y'know what I mean haha. Also, Watchmen looks awesome!!! Max Payne looks promising. And finally, if ya'll didn't know, Dragonball has a trailer out already. It looks like junk! Gokou looks like Frodo, Picollo looks like a rotten plant but Bulma is hot hahaha. Effects look sub par. I think this movie will flop big time haha. Other movies to watch out for:

Fantasy NBA is coming!!!

It's the third season of our "Liga ng Bayan" and hopefully I will do well in the playoffs. The playoffs has always been the achilles heel of my team. They underperform during the playoffs boohoo! I thought this was also the season that I can get my main man Dirk Nowitzki as my first pick--still didn't happen knowing that a lot more players are ranked higher than him. Oh Dirk, when will you be mine (ok that sounded gay hahaha). D-Wade as my first pick? kinda thinking about him or Elton Brand since EB is the east and is healthy. Ohwell...I hope this would be a pretty interesting season of fantasy basketball.

Why is it raining all of a sudden? didn't PAGASA tell us that there would be no rain until Monday? It really makes me wonder if they really know what they are doing over there. They tell us no rain but there is rain. They advise CHED and DEPED to suspend classes when there is no rain LOL! Wonder if I could be working there predicting phantom weather predictions hahaha

It was a fun day at Bonifacio High street last night where there was a pet blessing. Saw a lot of cute dogs. I wonder why there are only dogs there. Me if I would have a pet? ya'll know what I want as a pet--a Tiger!!! hahaha...from cub to his adulthood :) If I brought a tiger there, would I cause a panic? hahaha. I told my sister she should have brought "kuting" or "bulinggit" there so that she has the only cat in the blessing but I would think those dogs would run wild seeing a cat hahaha. I saw this guy walking around and he was all manly and stuff by the looks of it but he had a girly dog. Looked liked a chihuahua...so gay! hahaha

I was wondering the other day when will it happen to me that I have a bucket full of KFC on my right lap and then sitting on a couch and just watching movies the whole day. That's the way to go to chunkeh-ness haha and then so Shen and I are wondering when will we eat next time because our recent Wendy's trip was not too good at all. We saw Andok's on the far side of Makati Ave and it gave us an idea.

So we were planning to buy a whole chicken and eat it at her place. I told her I would bring bread since rice would not be good eaten cold. So I brought bread and some of my favorite Lurpak butter and then we went to Andok's to buy some chicken for dinner. I was surprised to see that Andok's was also selling Gardenia bread haha. It is really a good combination, we guessed, that bread and chicken go together haha

We ate 3/4's of the chicken. We were not able to finish it and after that we were both bloated haha...what a fun food trip! Let's do it again Shen! haha

Undecided where to go next after Robinson's Galleria, Shen and I was supposed to go to Ayala. So we took the bus and then decided again just to go to Starbucks in Columns and get off the bus in Buendia and then here comes Shen..."Leo lets go down! this is already Buendia" since we don't want to delay the bus, we went down and I knew that it was still Rockwell because I did not see Shell buendia yet nor the flyover coming in from the fort haha. She was really surprised and all hahaha...

So it was a walking trip towards Rockwell mall where we decided to go to Starbuck's outside the mall. With good luck there was not rain and there was an event there. They were celebrating Brazilian week (WTH!?) so we went to Starbucks and just watched the happening. It was alright and it was fun. While we were there I came to a thought--why are we celebrating Brazil week here? we are in the Philippines. Do they celebrate Philippines week there in Brazil? its just weird that some Filipino's celebrate this with their brazilian shirts and all that. Where is the love for the country right? I wonder...

Congrats to the Ateneo Blue Eagles. They had a great season. They deserve it.

So Ateneo won 4 straight against us this season. There will be no epic 5 game series this season. Maybe next year? haha. This was a good series for both communities (of course better if you are an Atenean). As the Ateneans would say, "sarap maging Atenista" especially during this time. They deserve it and they won it.

If was just too sad too see that our players did not have enough heart to fight through the game and with the ref's. Yep! ref's called it bad again for both sides. What really killed our momentum after the third quarter was the three quick blocking fouls while an Ateneo guard is bringing down the ball. It killed our fire. We held back our D because the ref's are really calling it light. Ohwell, whats done is done. Congrats again to Ateneo!

Boys growing up to become men. The last few minutes of the game was pretty interesting for the Green Archers. Why? They did not have JV and Rico. They were loosing it pretty bad but it was a test for the team and its rookies and players to show who will step up. Unfortunately, no one did step up. PJ Walsham who was long gone was still doing his business, James, PJ Barua and Maui did not step up. Hopefully, looking at the future, this would be their fire to fuel their passion in the upcoming seasons to come. JV going out with an offensive foul doesn't do justice to his great UAAP career.

Call of the year: Ferdinand getting slapped with a technical foul for taunting the crowd. WTH!??? This is the first time I have seen a call like that ever since I was a kid watching the PBA and NBA. Is that even a call???

Call of the night: Rico getting slapped with his second technical foul after a dirty gesture. We don't know for sure whether he did give the finger or not but the odds are, why would he give the finger on national TV? That's just weird.

Play of the night: Nonoy Baclao's put back and rebounds. Yep! this guy has the shades of Dennis Rodman. He is a great guy to have on a team.

Great UAAP season! I hope the Green Archers will reclaim the trophy next year. I hope coach Franz will get a solid big man next year to counter the MVP.

After a boring stretch when there was a writers srtike, they will come back with more heores--or villains. I saw a girl who had a flash like abilities, Claire's mom who is like the human torch, I also saw a black guy who had Havoc like powers and lastly Sylar of course is back but think about this..he is locked only at level 2 and that facility has 5 levels of prison...and from what I saw, I saw a man who had a blue flame. Cool! Haha. I also do believe that this season is the season that Sylar turns good in some way. Watch our for heroes! It will be up in a few hours.

It was the big Mall of Asia sale and Shen and I decided to go and look for her new jacket. It was very crowded since it was a sale event. So we went around and around and around looking for her jacket but to no avail :( and then this theory of mine suddenly came out of nowhere.

I was telling her old stories that when me and my siblings go shopping, I take the least amount of time shopping--whether clothes, shoes or whatever. She laughed at it at first but then she took a front row seat at that theory yesterday. We spent all the time looking for her jacket but I ended up buying two new jeans from Bench! haha!!! She was so angry at me LMAO! Priced at Php 400 each, that is a bargain!

My first smell of Christmas morning...

It is already half past September or should I say the "ber" months and the weather has just been hot these past few days after the most recent storm and it is only this morning that I smelled my first Christmas morning...

Finally...with 98 days to go before Christmas, it was only now that I felt like it is Christmas season already and I am excited!!! I love these morning every since I was a kid--I know we all do. I hope it will be a good Christmas to all of us this year.

I have finally finished downloading the 1080p Blu-Ray version of Iron Man and wow! wow! and WOW! Now I am getting addicted to all these 1080p versions...but my internet is too slow for those big files haha. Yeah I would love to buy a blu ray drive but blu ray discs still cost a lot. Ohwell...

My Cavite trip with Shen...

It was meet the Sinsin's day last Saturday. Friday night I went to work all excited that it is the weekend and in just a few hours Shen and I will be going to her house in Cavite. It was like in high school that we will be taking a bus going to a province. I never had that feeling again up until last Saturday. Unfortunately, traffic was very bad and we ended up taking a van going to "Noveleta". My bus ride went down the drain :( but it was alright as I got to see the sights going to Shen's home. I saw Aguinaldo's house on the old P5 bill. I saw Island Cove and some others as well. When We arrived at Noveleta and then rode on the "baby bus" haha. I thought those baby buses were the ones from the province but this one has an exception. They were really colorful! They were a combined jeepney and baby bus! haha...I had fun riding in the baby bus. And oh, I got to ride for free on my first trip! haha. So we arrived in Rosario Cavite and then from the town hall/town center/town church we walked towards her house. It was a long walk but I dont mind since the air is cool anyway. While I was walking on the street I asked Shen if there were "aswangs" in their place and she said there arent any but I got the feeling that there are some hahaha just by the looks of it--but hey, its just my first time there haha. She pointed to me all her houses (yeah they have a lot like her father's house and junk shop, the apartment they own and lastly her home).

We arrived at her house and I was greeted by her Lola and her sister. Her lola was"old school" haha. She cherishes all those old values and stuff in which she always says that I should not hurt her "apo" and all that. It was all good and I understand where she is coming from. I even joked that instead of me hurting Shen it was the other way around. I was the one being abused haha. Her sister is even more entertaining. She was very talkative and I joked around with her about Shen haha but the one thing I will always remeber about her sister Mayen is that she thought I was "bumbay" LMAO!!!

I met her younger brother's. Kenneth is cute by the way. I had my tongue out for him when he was looking at me and he gave me the tongue also! hahaha...what a cute little boy. I also met her father who unfortunately has some fever (I hope he gets well soon). So we ate and went back to civilization (hahaha!) and ended the night with a couple of drinks in Gerry's grill.

Nah!!! I think UE has something to say to ADMU. I hope UE defeats ADMU twice haha and yes, FEU has some fight in them. They are good solid team. With all the turnovers and meltdowns during the third quarter, they caught up with us an almost forced overtime. Now you got to wonder the technical foul on coach Glenn...those two free throws that JV hit...would have been a 1 point lead instead of 3. Ohwell...ref's aren't in the favor of FEU this time. Kudo's to JV for a solid bounce back game and to Simon for playing a good game.

I was approached a couple of weeks back by one of my friends at the office about a change that's going to come. Yeah, we had a talk and I knew and I felt that that change is coming soon--this just confirmed it! So everyone was leaving Net2globe and transferring to "Net2globe-2" haha. Why the name? because all of them are and will be former employee's of Net2globe. One by one they are leaving. I wonder what the future of my company would be!? hahaha!

Why are they leaving? they have finally had it with the boss. I think that's the reason. My opinion is that After Charlie (the manager-friendly person below the boss) left, everyone started to leave. The HR left, accountant was replaced, agents were leaving. Without the HR, he gave me the HR duties for our division and HR to the other agent in the call center division. He did not hire another HR LOL! and now that almost every agent has left, he let go of the account for the call center. Call center is gone. We are the only ones left. So what I think the problem is that the boss did not take care of everyone anymore. He is cheap he is arrogant he is stupid haha.

So my or our plan is to wait it out and see if the company goes down. Separation pay!? amen! haha

I'm loving the rain...as long as it is not storming outside. Just wanna lie down and hug Shenpot all day...

My morning shift...

So I am back to the morning shift. Morning meaning 8 AM to 5 PM CST shift. Morning start and ends in the morning here 6 AM haha. Am I messing up your mind? My body is still adjusting. Body clock is very screwed up.

So I have a question...have you ever encountered a stupid security guard inspecting your bag? Well what happened to me was since I am using a body bag, I do not need to remove it from my body I just need to pull it from my back to my front right? So this stupid security guard in the MRT wanted me to put down the bag in his table...and inspect it for 2 seconds...while it took me about more than 5 seconds to put it on the table...the guy behind me was laughing...haha. I even asked the security guard "so its okay?" and then he said something but I wasn't listening because I have my earphones haha. Yeah I know it is their standard operating procedure but heck, they are not consistent anyway...so what the hell!? haha...ruined my morning? nahhh...I just laughed at it :)

Ateneo has a very very high chance of winning it all this year. Good solid lineup and bench. There is nothing I can say about them. UE vs ADMU...it is UE's time to tell everyone that they are for real. They have a legitimate shot of beating Ateneo twice. They have a good linuep...the question is, can they do it!? DLSU vs FEU. Whoever wins the first game has an advantage of course but this is good for the UAAP...renewing DLSU vs FEU rivalry...AN1MO LA SALLE!!!

Being without DLSU vs ADMU tickets came as a blessing as me and Shen watched the game here at home. First time that she met my family and everyone here including "kuting" and "tigerhome" (my PC and my recent ex-GF haha)...good thing is, they did not kill each other :). After the game we went to Greenwich and continued on my shawarma trippin by ordering the shawarma overload pizza. It was good but it was a bit weird...having cucumber on your pizza? haha

It was the LRT2 shawarma vs the MRT shawarma. I was going home from work feeling hungry and suddenly craving for shawarma so I decided to drop by the shawarma stand by the MRT. I had one and it was good. The hot sauce was really hot the way I like it but it was so light that I told myself I had to buy another. I remembered that there was also a shawarma stand by the LRT2 so I decided to buy that one instead (wrong choice). The one over by the MRT is better. The meat is better and the price is better haha...I had two. Good thing I wasn't going to Shen's place or else she would have died over my shawarma breath...hahaha!!!

I missed the Oktoberfest. My officemates wen't there!!! Damn!!! I wasn't able to wake up early huhu. Ohwell next year...haha

San Miguel Oktoberfest...

Oh wait, didn't September just start? and I must say a really hot September...supposed to be getting cold right? weird! might be the effects of global warming. Oktoberfest is happening tonight! I hear Third Eye Blind will be there and a bunch of local bands. Tickets are at Php 120 with 2 beers and I think the other ticket is priced at Php 300. The difference? the latter being in an air conditioned place. My amazement here is that (if I am not mistaken) Wednesday morning they already closed the part of San Miguel avenue that will be the venue for the longest toast - Oktoberfest opening. Damn...how much money does San Miguel have right? to give you an idea...here is a picture I took yesterday at our office. Notice the white long strech? those are tents and what used to be one side of San Miguel avenue. That's how big this party is!!!

So I had a surprise for Shen to see her early but it was spoiled by her so called "plans" for the day LOL! I need more planning next time! haha. Nice seeing Shen again after a day of not seeing her haha!

September is the month of the comeback for the series that I am watching! Prison break fans, what a treat right? back to back episodes with full of surprises. No spoilers don't worry. Gossip girl came back also. I didn't recognize Chuck when I caught a glimpse of it haha. Entourage fans, Pablo Escobar/Aquaman is back! Dr. House and of course Heroes will also be back! Exciting comebacks!!!

I'm still currently listening to Bon Jovi as I have downloaded all of his albums haha! Rock on!

It was the 50th Birthday of my Aunt and they celebrated it by the bay in Mall of Asia. It was like a "Dampa" style setting with a nearby seafood market and a restaurant called Huey Ying. Damn the seafood was flowing!!! It was funny because right after I was full all of the Tempura's just came...waaaa!!! hahaha. It was awesome. I was very full and it was the first time in a long time that me and my bud-cousin had a talk :)

After dinner I met Shen at the Mall of Asia and we walked for a while then decided to stop by Starbucks.

Leo: Shen, what would you recommend that I drink that has lots of ice in it and a little coffee?
Shen: Why don't you try the Choco Java Chip?
Leo: Done and done!

This Choco Java Chip will forever be remembered! Hey Shen, wan't to treat me some Choco Java Chip in Starbucks? hahaha

My week of no sleep...

What a freakin' week following my long weekend in Batangas. My week of no sleep started when we came home from Batangas (of course) where I had to go to work the next morning at 4:00 AM. It was alright as the workload was light but after that, I went to Shen's place coz yeah we missed each other (haha cheesy) went home then work again the next day and went home at 1:00 PM then straight to sleep because I had to go to work again at 9:00 PM the same day! FTW! Yep. It's because my co-worker (Jesus/Jero) is on vacation leave. He is in his hometown of Palawan.

When I arrived at the office, my immediate supervisor and the people at work were wondering why I am early haha and if I got some sleep haha...yeah I did for about 4 hours LOL! that's when my body clock got screwed up. After my shift I went on to visit Shen at her place where she was late for about an hour hahaha then went back to see her before going to work and hence after that shift I am back here at home...I miss my bed...I miss my computer...I miss my home...and now...SLEEP!!!

Eraserheads concert tomorrow! WOOT!!! one of the best band's in the world! I hope they don't screw this one up. I won't be able to watch :(

Also up for tomorrow...my haircut!!! waaaaaaa....hahaha!!!

"The best outing ever?" haha! Could be! It was the vacation I missed this past summer break mainly because of my work. Thanks to the August birthday boys! I can say, it was the best! It would even be better if we were complete. So next time! people who said they will come and then back out...time to change that habit!!! haha

Driving there was fun. Finally I was refreshed on how to go to Tagaytay ang Batangas. Hey Shenpot, wanna go to Tagaytay or Batangas? haha! Fran took me to this shortcut when going to Tagaytay which when I got home and talked to my dad about it, I realized that I have gone in that direction lots of times haha. Memory gap!? LOL! it is a short drive that I think will cost Php 2000 gas/diesel and toll roundtrip.

So we arrived at Munting Buhangin. Very good place in my idea because the place is big and the rooms are great. One good thing going there last weekend was that there isn't much people so the beach is not crowded at all. I wonder what it looks like when it is peak season. That part of Batangas has a small shoreline so it might be jampacked when it is summertime. Ohwell, the place is still great.

First drinking session. What a night! haha...can't say the juicy details but it was a fun round of hot seat. Second drinking session by the beach was nostalgic. It was all about reminiscing the good old college days hahaha.

What I really really enjoyed about my stay there is aside from being with my buddies, I also got the chance to be alone and be at peace. Away from work, away from the noise, away from the pollution and away from my problems (if there are any haha). With my body clock still on nighshift mode, I usually sneak out onto the beach every 6:00 am in the morning...cold morning breeze on my face, the sound of birds chirping and the waves splashing...then on the second night while everyone was on PSP mode, I wen't down again to the beach alone for some senti-time hahaha. I love those moments when you are at peace and thinking of nothing. So I pulled a chair and watched the thunderstorms somewhere on my north. It was the first time I could watch a thunderstorm from a far. It was awesome. Then they went down and stayed with me then we had our second drinking session by the beach.

We also went to this small island which had a small shore where we took some pictures. Then the guys thought it would be cool to climb that island and so we did. The view from above was priceless!!! It was then I realized that I could never ever jump from a cliff to the sea haha. So while going down the island on this rocky steep side of the island, I was traversing the path we took to go up while holding on to the rocks on my right and looking down the rocky cliff of death on my left when I held on to this rock that was freaking loose haha...it fell off! luckily my center of balance was still in the middle or I would have dropped off the cliff of death haha...but that freakin rock hit me on the side and hence, my first accident! LOL!...close call to death I might say. Since I mentioned the first accident, it is only obvious that there is a second one haha. Yes, while we were (I mean they were) snorkling near former President Ramos' Tony Stark look alike resthouse, I was on the other side of the boat just floating and hovering on the side while my right foot struck a big coral...OUCH!!! haha...when I got on the boat again, it was bleeding LOL! second accident. Luckily that was it! hahaha

Batangas was fun. How I wish I shared those moments with Shenpot :)

My music, movies and mems

Finally got back my other 2G kit of Corsair Dominators mems. 4G of RAM again. It is working well...I hope it won't fail me again haha...

I also got my Logitech x540's and I think it was a mistake to buy it! Transaction went fine but what happened next is the hidden problem. My on board audio was busted. Damn! So I had a pretty nasty decision to make.
1. RMA the board (which will take forever haha plus I wont have any computer at home coz of course, its the motherboard) or;
2. Try to clean and fix the on board audio.
3. Buy a soundcard (which costs a lot FTW!!!)
4. Buy a cheap soundcard (haha!!!)

#1 is out because it will take forever! LOL! #2 I tried to, but nothing worked. #4 Why buy an old cheap soundcard when I can buy the new ones. Plus it might not be compatible anymore to Windows Vista as these old soundcards were manufactured year 2004-2005 haha. So I was left with #3...hahaha damn these sound cards costs a lot!!! so I bought a X-Fi Extreme Audio PCIe (which was the last one on stock) haha. Auzen X-plosion was phased out. The next available model of soundcard costs a whopping Php 11,000!!! haha no way. So I installed the soundcard and set up the speakers and wow!!! worth every peso! haha...but I'm still not happy that I got to buy something that I wasn't expecting to buy! hopefully I'll forget about it and be happy with the sounds that I am getting from my music and movies.

I am Batangas bound! See you all tomorrow!!! Safe trip for us!!!

My McDonalds massacre

I love McDonalds but what happened to me sucks!!!

So we ate breakfast at McDonalds and I bought 2x orange juice and one large fries. Total bill = P122!!! What the F-in Hell!??? 2 drinks and a large fries for P122!? The I found out that one 17oz orange juice costs P40!!! WTF!!! how can that cost P40 right!? and that's not the end of it. I remember buying those small gravy that they include in their chicken @ P3.00 each. Then it went up to P5.00. Okay, still acceptable but just recently, it increased to a freakin P10!!! WTF again!!! That small gravy costs P10!? seriously they are full of crap these days...haha

X-Files = crap.
Don't watch it. haha

It was a very special weekend for me. I was/am really really happy. I will remember this day...for today is...nah...that line is so cliche haha

It has been a very busy busy week with not much hours of sleep haha.

So I took my dad last Tuesday to the movie house so that he can watch the Dark Knight. He has not seen it and I told him that it is slowly making Titanic sink as the best grossing movie of all time and it is one movie that is really awesome to see on the big screen. So it was my treat. I remember those days when we were kids that weekends were the movie day's where we would buy cheese flavored Kornets, ride the jeepney to Ali Mall and watch a movie there with my brother and father. This time, it was me who was taking my dad to the movies. Time to repay him haha and we haven't talked/bonded in a long time so it was long overdue also. I know he loved the movie. He was speechless haha. Watching it again is never tiresome. It is truely an awesome film. Slowly beating the LOTR: ROTK as my favorite movie of all time but not quite yet...

So, watched a movie last Tuesday with 5 hours of sleep before going to work and now yesterday...I was with Shen and well...we did not get enough sleep (she didn't haha) Ended up arriving home at aroung 12 midnight and going to work at 3am hahaha and now what happened? Shen is probably snoring, sleep talking and walking in her condo and I blogging while half asleep since 5am haha...30 mins to go. Then I'm going home to get some sleep...
