I gotta love the Dawn of the Dead. For me it was the best out of all five...errr six.
First was Night of the Living Dead (I watched the new version not the 1968 flick) then my favorite, Dawn of the Dead, then came Land of the Dead and then the awesome Diary of the Dead and the last, the out of budget Day of the Dead. So that is 5/5 George A. Romero versions. By the way, George A. Romero, you are fantastic in creating this scenario's. So what is the 6th? There is a Shaun of the Dead. A euro version of the dead series haha. Kinda lame actually.
Come to think of it, what would you do if this really happened? Can you shoot your own friends and family in the head? How would you survive? Where would you go? These are just some of the questions that you ask yourself when you are alone and surrounded by zombies...
Anyone of you passed by EDSA recently? particularly northbound in the middle of gate 5 and Santolan. God damn the MMDA is plain stupid! First there was the pig fences, then the U-turns, then the islands in the side of EDSA and now...tan tananan! they put up POLES in EDSA!!! I mean WTF are they thinking!? EDSA is a highway! there shouldn't be anything lying around there! Yeah you may say that there is traffic anyway so you won't be able to speed up but WTF...what about night time and during early mornings!? They put up these poles and there's even a sign on it that says buses right private vehicles on the left or something like that. When you are speeding, could you even read them? they are so small my goodness!!! They are just inviting the accidents. So stupid! Even Bayani Fernando's posters are stupid. Early campaigning I guess.
Well actually, this is a result of the stupidity of drivers in metro manila. The MMDA is just answering the call with their stupid ideas. Whew...if only drivers follow simple rules...but then again, this is the Philippines hahaha.
Peace out! To all the drivers: I hope you don't hit them poles at the EDSA slalom course haha

My shoe shopping
U think only girls have the craving for shoes?
I was supposed to be a shirt shopping for some good quality Nike and Adidas shirts on this 3 Day clearance sale of Nike and Adidas in the Megatrade hall but it turned out to be a well, shoe shopping event for me. I was expecting P300-P350 range for shirts but it turned out those P1000++ shirts were on sale for only P700+. Damn!!! still too expensive for me. So I just went on looking for shoes. I got an Adidas Cosmos and a Nike Free 7.0. Bargain price! both 50% off. My total bill P3900! whoa!!! haha
Nice eh!?

My other kind of rubiks cube or something like that...

Yeah it is a weird looking Rubiks Cube. Probably because it is not really a Rubiks cube but if it is solved, it will look like a Rubiks cube. My officemate told me that this is Pinoy made that is why you will not see any solutions in the internet-he is probably right but after a few tries and 5 days..I have finally found the solution! Haha! Beat that boredom at work! LOL!

GO LAKERS!!!
My American Idol would be David "babyface" Archuleta the crybaby haha. He sang better than David Cook. Yeah, sorry Cook fans...but sometimes its better not to be the american idol...look at Chris Daughtry. Heck, I don't even remember who won in the last season...LOL! Whatever happens to David Cook, he will be a star. Guaranteed! Who doesn't love his version of "Always Be My Baby"?

My history lesson in basketball
Who invented the "alley-oop"?
Is it Michael Jordan? Dominique? Dr. J? No. No. No.
Is it Michael Jordan? Dominique? Dr. J? No. No. No.
It started in an "Semi-Pro" A.B.A. game. Yes the N.B.A. and A.B.A. are still divided at that time. It first happened before the merger of these two basketball leagues. When the fans saw it, they were at a shock. Broadcasters did not know what happened or what it is called. The referees did not know if they were going to count the 2 points in. So who threw the alley and who put down the oop? it was Jackie Moon (a.k.a. Will Ferrell) of the Flint Michigan Tropics who threw the first alley and it was Clarence "Coffee Black" who threw down the first oop. Hahaha!
Of course by now you should know that I'm just kidding with you...LOL!

My X weekend...
So who is your favorite X-Men Character?
Mine will be forever Wolverine. Always have been intrigued, fascinated and idolized this mutant. Even before Hugh Jackman played his role. Of course when I was a kid and there were still no comic scans and there was still no internet, you amuse yourself by buying comics in Filbar's, but cards wherever they may be available and find yourself a hero to idolize. So when Cyclops asked Wolverine in the first installment of the movie X-Men - "what would you prefer? yellow spandex?" HELL YEAH! Wolverine's yellow-blue costume kicks ass!!! haha
I had the chance to watch all three movies a while ago (yeah I pulled an all nighter) and I must admit, I think it sucked the first time I watched it, but now...I can understand why it sucked the first time around. Of course, X-Men fans expected so much out of this trilogy and it did not fail. What failed or what the problem was this is a movie not a comic book. There are certain limitations in a movie unlike the wildest imaginations of the artists and writers. I noticed that this being an X-Men movie is hard for the movie industry. Why? budget, actors, scene's etc. You can understand why Batman Begins, Iron Man, Spiderman movies became big. They are alone. With this X-Men movie, there is a lot of characters and I think the producer's, writers, director and actors did a good job. My theory might be wrong when the Avengers movie comes out haha...but we will see.
A couple of things I noticed in the three films. Jubilee was in all of the three films. Ellen Page was not the Kitty in the first two movies. Psylocke as we know it had a crappy role as well as Colossus and Angel. Still the question left unanswered. Will there be another X-Men movie? Xavier's mind transferred to the coma patient of Moira McTaggert and Magneto looked like he still have powers. Wolverine and Magneto will have movies but what about the X-Men?
Time to read up on Endangered Species and Messiah Complex :D

My long term diet plan?
What is the secret to long life?
Is it the never ending quest in finding the fountain of youth. What we have now is something expensive that can only make you look young with your age (plastic surgery). We also have people who claim that even if they are old, they are still young at heart (like me! but I'm not that old haha). So what does young at heart really mean? You can read it literally or figuratively, you decide. Exercise, they say can make you feel young with all your energy and strength. Eating right can also make you feel, look young and live longer. This is probably the closest scientific evidence we could have.
I have been fascinated by this scientific discovery that by eating 30-40% less calories a day and eating healthy food can make you live longer. Scientists have said that this is true from yeast to primates. They also had a 15 year study of feeding rats with normal food and some rats with less food and they concluded that those who had less lived longer. How amazing is that!?
But here lies the question, would you really sacrifice not eating all those fries, burgers, pizzas, etc just to live longer? If you ask me, HELL NO! I have always thought that life is too short and you should always live life to the fullest. I may not even enjoy my life if I don't eat those food. I love to eat! haha.
Just imagine if you ever do this diet and after 10 years you get hit by a car...LOL!

My 100...
Whoa! its my 100th post! coolio!
Thought I might put some updates and of course my 2 cents on some of the things going over my head...
First up...Parvati Shallow wins Survivor Micronesia! Yeah well I am not surprised that Parv won the game. Amanda chose Parv (of course) over Cirie and that pretty much sealed the deal. I got the feeling from the Jury that they will not vote for Amanda because they all think that she is faking all those crying stuff during Tribal but then again, Amanda was always true with her alliance with Parv and they both promised that they won't vote for each other. It's okay Amanda...you won the heart of Oz anyway, so you are also a winner. Parv won 5-3. I thought that only Erik, Ozzy and Eliza voted for Amanda.
Now to sports..what the hell is up with the Lakers, Celtics and Hornet!? they can't seem to win on the road and then Detroit won on the road without Chauncey!? LOL! For Boston, if they can't win on the road they won't win the trophy...but then again, they do not need to win on the road in order to win it all...but still, if they would go as one of the greatest teams in NBA history, they have to prove the critics wrong and win on the road...especially in the finals.
It's funny I bought my mom a cake last Sunday and I was surprised that she was in Camarines Sur...she's gonna be home by friday...LOL!
100 posts...kinda reminds me of my Grandma...we miss her a lot :D
This is for my peoples
Who just lost somebody
Your best friend, your baby
Your man or your lady
Put your hand way up high
We will never say bye
No, no, no
Mamas, daddies, sisters, brothers
Friends and cousins

Who lost their grandmothers
Lift your head to the sky
Cause we will never say bye

My goodness Erik...
How can you let those girls get inside of you after you manipulated all of them?
What in the hell are you thinking!?
You were a fan of them so you should know best!
What in the hell are you thinking!?
You were a fan of them so you should know best!
You should have played up until the end. You still have time to work with the jury. If you stayed until the end, you have at least put yourself in a position to win instead of going out of the game. Stupid! idiotic! flat out dumb!
This has been the most tasteful season I have watched (others bored me) plus the fact that these girls are really hot (except for Cirie). They really know how to work their magic on men and I love it. Amanda = hot, Nat = nice body and Parv = smokin' hot! haha. 2-hour finale coming up this Monday...I hope Parv or Amanda wins and oh...I was talking about Survivor Micronesia :P

My take on this Iron Man film
What's with Terence Howard? he seems to be everywhere these days? from the Hunting Party to the Brave One up until Awake and now Iron Man? haha. So then Iron Man...I got to be honest, the movie was good...nope...it was great! Indeed, I find myself praising this movie for how it was done, the storyline and of course the cast of characters. Don't get me wrong...Robert Downey Jr. was a perfect fit (instead of the rumored Tom Cruise), Gwyneth Paltrow = uber hot!, Terence Howard was good and Jeff Bridges? man I didn't recognize him up until the credits rolled! and of course, Samuel L. Jackson (he should be called Nigga Fury) LOL!
So what did I not like? If you follow the Marvel universe specifically the Civil War series, and you took Cap's side just like me, you would really hate Iron Man and his pathetic Mutant Registration Act. Just because everyone knows that you are Iron Man doesn't mean every superhero should tell who they are! Iron Man forced Spiderman to unmask himself!!! just that made me hate Tony Stark. He even banished the Hulk and now the Hulk back from his exile is beating the hell out of Iron Man, which he really deserved in my opinion. Well that's just my two cents. I'm also excited on how they are going to form the Avengers...will it be the old school Avengers? or the new Avengers? We will all see...
"Hi Ms. Potts I am (forgot the name) from Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logictics Division" this line made me laugh out of my seat. It was a good try...

My sad day...
How can it still be?
Only half a day has gone by...
Only half a day has gone by...
First...Muning, our pregnant cat died today. Rest in peace Muning. You made us happy by giving us a family of cute cats. She had twins, a kitten that died when it came out, she had "Kuting" my favorite male cat outside, she another twins that suddenly disappeared (we all thought they died already), she had a female cat which is still under intesive care right now because she had injuries in her feet (now she is eating thank goodness) and lastly, she had (what we thought but we will never know for sure) her last twins. Still in her womb when she died this morning. I really got the feeling that she is too old. When I look at her, I see her strength gone, her eyes tells you that she has been through a lot and now, she is gone. It made my sister tearful. She loved her so much. We all did. I hope she is in cat heaven right now :)
So my mother applied US visa for us the three of us (me, my dad and my brother) and earlier was our interview. Funny stories later...lets get on with the verdict first. My father was given a visa. We don't know yet for how long (but my sister got 10 years) and me and my brother were...yes...D-E-N-I-E-D. The Consul did have good excuses for not granting us visa. From what I understand, I am still new to my career and I'm still not earning that much. I guess that was his reason in my own understanding. For my bro, I just wish he had not applied with us. I thought he magnified the "financial" reason of the consul. Why? because his job isn't really legitimate (setting up car audio fast and the furious style) because they are not registered with DTI (yeah its illegal but readers please keep quiet) and he was asked "so you are making a lot of money out of it" then came the nail in coffin...he answered "not much, sir"...LOL! Well based on my keen observation skills, I noticed the Consul's take on applying a visa with our father is that we are still very dependent with our father. Well, I thought the decision would be different if we applied alone. That's my take on it. It's done. Don't really have plans to go to the U.S. anyway (for now). China...here I come :D
Now to the funny stuff. So we were in the U.S. Embassy earlier right...and there were a lot of people and yeah there were first timers of course like us who were not warned by a new rule that I saw was just effective this last March 1 which was "No cellphones and other electronic devices allowed inside". I mean cellphones? almost every Filipino has his/her own cellphone and you are not going to allow it inside!? for what? well I understand the security risk but come on...cellphone!? and that's not the funny part yet! there are people outside who actually will hold your cellphone while you are inside the embassy. Yes, they are like the baggage counter in the malls. They will give you a number and they will hold your cellphone/s and/or other electronic devices for a fee of Php 150.oo and surprisingly enough...there are people who trust these people! FTW! hahaha my brother asked told me, if someone gave me their cellphone, I would have been gone the minute he/she turns around haha. It got me thinking, with a lot of newbie's actually bringing their cellphones, it can be a good source of income. Instead of a one time big time bust which can lead you to being a robber, you can actually have a daily income. Right? haha
Ohwell...those are the sad things that happened to me so far today...what else is there for me?
but me...sad? since when? :P
